Vintage table lamp by Peter Ellery for Tremaen Pottery, made in the 1970s.

A versatile MCM lamp in a lovely mix of beige, brown and sand earth tones. Part of a brutalist design series - I believe the Nanceddan collection? A rare, beautiful Tremaen Pottery sculptural lamp base that suits most interior decor.

The Tremaen Pottery was founded by Peter Ellery in 1965' in Marazion near Newlyn in Cornwall. He was not a potter, having been trained as an artist in fine art and ceramics at Bath College. He was inspired by the Cornish landscape, natural motifs, such as cow parsley and grasses and ancient runic symbols. Although based in nature, most of his patterns are strongly abstracted.

Condition / This vintage piece is in great condition. It may show minimal traces of use but there are no defects and in working order. PAT tested. UK plug. Makers mark on the bottom of the lamp.
