Smells like / Fika is often translated as "a coffee and cake break", but really, it’s a concept, a state of mind. It means making time for friends and colleagues to share a cup of coffee and a little something to eat. Sure you’ve got twelve meetings and 800 emails; an over-eager intern keeps asking for something to do, and you’ve just remembered you missed a deadline yesterday. Pushing all of that aside, though, there's is a moment of stillness, filled with richly dark, nutty coffee soaking through thick, sticky buttercream and sweet-scented vanilla, and a friend bringing it to you.
