A radiant cobalt blue and clear glass triangle-shaped faceted ashtray, a very heavy hand-blown glass tobacciana collectable ashtray, which can also be used as a trinket dish, jewellery catchall or table centrepiece.
A great example of vintage modernist Italian glass. There's no maker's mark on the item but our research has determined it to be a Murano piece. The price reflects it not being authenticated, if it’s not Murano I would say it’s on the high end of the glass market.
It will look good both in pastel white minimalist interior design or in the eclectic multicoloured cosy mid-century interior design space.
Size: Approximately 19cm across.
Condition: In good condition. There's quite a bit of scuffing and scratches to the underside (base), a few that can be seen through the upside of the piece (pictured), as well as a few minor flea bites to the interior bowl. Expected considering the item is 60 years old, but none of the signs of use detracts from its gorgeous, bold design or growing value over time.
